Hayley and Curtis

These two hold a VERY special place in our hearts! Curtis is Travis’ brother and Hayley his girlfriend of many many years! We have all been through a lot together and I can’t wait for more fun times! Hayley actually caught the bouquet at Trav and my wedding….we are still waiting on her getting married next ;)! They are both so incredible to our son Landon and at the end of the day that’s all that matters to me! Cabo soon you two!!!!

We did a very quick shoot with them around Balboa Park for some fun pictures of the two of them. Both super cute around the camera!

Kayla & Stacy’s San Diego Safari Park Wedding

Kayla and Stacy were married in the heat of summer at the Safari Park here in San Diego. It was a perfect summer day for their wedding and we were happy to be a part of it. Since their wedding was at the Safari park they had an animal theme all around. From their centerpieces, to the cupcakes to their shoes…it was perfect!During cocktail hour they had an animal presentation for their guests which included some animals like an owl and CHEETAH to name a few! Definitely the highlight for us! The Safari Park is an AWESOME venue to get married at! The staff are really on top of things and the guests really seem to enjoy it!

Cristina & Ben’s Wind and Sea Engagement Session

We met Cristina and Ben a couple weeks ago at Wind and Sea for their engagement session! It was a picture perfect San Diego summer day. The marine layer took a little break that day to allow us for some great pictures! We just shot Cristina and Ben’s wedding this past Friday at Admiral Kidd Club and we can’t wait to share those pictures!

Kaila is Two!!!!

This little girl definately holds a special place in my heart! Her mom Nicole and I go WAAAAY back!!! We met long ago in the 5th grade back in Hawaii when we soon found out that our love for NKOTB and singing very loudly in choir had bonded us for life. Fast-foward TWENTY years and we are both now mom’s to two wonderful kiddos!

We headed downtown for Kaila’s 2nd birthday shoot! She was having a Sesame Street themed birthday party so we were in search of brick walls and lampposts. Two year olds are definitely high energy so we did a lot of running around and shooting real quick! It will be great when Kaila and Landon are Nicole and my age and be able to say that they were friends since practically birth!

Nathan’s 6 year old pictures!

We have known this family for about four years now! Little Nate was only 3 when we first met him and now he’s 6!!! I cannot believe how fast time goes by! We have absolutely grown to LOVE this family throughout the years and ALWAYS look forward to any chance we get to spend with them! We met Rhea, Nate and Meagan at a cute little wooded area near there house for the shoot and had a blast! We can’t wait for November for Meg’s birthday!

Jennifer & Gregory:: The Dana & Marina Village Wedding

Jennifer and Gregory were married at Marina Village a few weeks ago. It was a BEAUTIFUL day! The entire wedding party and most of their family and friends stayed at The Dana so we spent quite a bit of time there doing most of the pictures. They also decided to do a First Look. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the first look, this is where the bride and groom opt to see each other before the ceremony. We set up a very intimate first look of the two. Not is this an incredible and intimate moment between the two of you, the picture are awesome and most importantly you have time to enjoy your cocktail hour! The ceremony and reception were both held at Marina Village. We had the chance to work with Alicia from YOUnique weddings (www.younique-weddings.com) who made sure that the day ran smoothly.

You could absolutely feel the love in the room at the reception. The dance floor was packed and full of laughter and tears of joy the entire night. You could feel the energy in the room!

Jen& Greg: We are so happy that we were able to get to know you guys. You two are so genuine and sweet. Weddings like yours remind us why we do this. We wish nothing but the best for you both!!!!!

Kendra and Steve:: La Jolla Shores Engagement Session

We had a blast with Kendra and Steve on their engagement session at La Jolla Shores. We love shooting at La Jolla Shores and it is definitely one of my favorite beach locations! These two were so much fun to shoot with! They brought their two dogs along with them to join in on some shots! They are getting married in a few weeks and we can’t wait!!

Staci & Tim:: The Wedding

We had a great time photographing Staci & Tim’s Cinco de Mayo party! In all our years of shooting weddings I don’t think that we have ever met a more mellow and down-to-earth bride! NOTHING was gonna stress her out!! We loved it! Staci and Tim are both just so in love with one another, it definitely made my heart smile for them and their families! They were married at Living Way Church in Poway with the reception at a Private Residence in Ramona. We were able to sneak off with them for a bit to get some great pictures at Old Poway Park. It was both a gorgeous ceremony and reception. We loved the brownie cake Staci wanted! It tasted as great as it looked!! We had the pleasure of working with DJ Jay Brannan from Beannan Entertainment http://www.brannanent.com/. He ensured that the crowd were on their feet the entire night.

Staci and Tim: We hope you guys had an amazing time on your surprise honeymoon! You will have to let us know how your Alaskan cruise was! We wish you both many, many, many years of a happy marriage!

Melissa & Kevin:: Balboa Park & Coronado Landing Engagement Session

We met Melissa and Kevin on one of the coldest and windiest days! These two were troopers (especially Melissa)! We had a great time getting to know them as we walked around Balboa Park and Coronado Landing! We can’t wait for your wedding later this year!

Landon’s One!!

Our baby boy turned one last week! Any parent knows how bittersweet this occasion is. On one hand your baby is one!! You made it through the first year (which has soooo many ups and downs!) You are looking forward to toddler-hood and all that brings but at the same time….your baby is no longer well…a baby!

We went back and forth about throwing him a birthday party…we kept saying that it wasn’t like he was going to remember it but at the same time..why not throw a party!! Who doesn’t love a party! Then the planning began…we picked a pirate party!! Thanks to countless hours searching the internet and of course Etsy all the ideas were in place! With the help of family and friends I got it done!! From the rice crispy treat pirates, pinwheels, pirate rubber ducky’s, mason jars filled with red and black candy and chocolate pirate molds…we had it all!

A huge thanks to on of our best friends Aaron who did all the cooking! We had gumbo, sandwiches, and the huge hit shoyu octopus hotdogs!! Mick with the Elite British DJ for providing the music for the party, Shirley the Cake Lady for Landon’s smash and birthday cake and Andy from Starlight Photobooth for the awesome photobooth!
